Rain Rain, Go Away
Powerful with lightning, thunder, and rain is a thunderstorm
Updrafts racing with speed of 90 miles per hour
Tremendous gusts of wind, rain, startling lighting is how it will form
Cold air sinks, warm air rises, convection gives it power.
Lightning is deadly
And can turn you into a human medley,
With just one stoke
You’ll be dead and broke.
Wind so cold it is chilling to the bone
Objects getting thrashed about in air
Children frightened by the thunder’s drone
Trapped in the claw of the bear.
Warm, moist air rises
Water vapor within the air demises
Forming the Cumulus Stage
Soon followed by a dark and stormy cloud with rage.
Condensation continues as the cloud rises to form a cumulonimbus cloud
With the following thunder, the storm gets very loud
Known as the Mature Stage
Now is the time to take out the rain gauge.
The strong downdraft stop air currents from rising and heavy rain starts ailing
The thunderstorm dissipates as the supply of water vapor decreases and is failing
This stage is called the Dissipating
And before you know it, the end came that you have been anticipating.
Florida is where it rains most in the States
Spring, summer, and the afternoon is when it rains most on those dates
There are fifty to seventy rainfall days a year in the South
Those days are very routh.
Darkness falls as power goes out
Making kids scream and shout
Lightning taking out trees and starting a fire
Causing forests to expire

Well, that is my poem so far, tell me what you think of it please

  1. Very cool. But how are you going to convince your teacher that you know what "routh" means (I had to look it up).

    Great job. :)
